Abstract:A patient with polycythemia vera and lymphoblastic transformation is discussed. Phenotypic characterization revealed that the predominant leukemic cells were classic "null" lymphoid cells with a minority component of pre-B cells. This case provides evidence that the stem cell disorder in polycythemia vera may involve the lymphocyte early in development.
