| Abstract: | The rate of metabolism of a small dose of labeled vitamin A, given to vitamin A-deficient rats maintained on retinoic acid, was measured by assaying for radioactive metabolites in urine and feces. The rate showed three distinct phases, apparently representing three pools of vitamin A. |
