| Abstract: | Objective\ To study the character and treatment of the traumatic spinal cord atrophy.Method\ To learn the clinical information of the patient and review current articles about the traumatic spinal cord atrophy.Results\ It is not frequent for cord atrophy after traumatic brain injury or traumatic spinal injury.MRI is valuable in diagnosis of the lesion.The illness can be diagnosed as traumatic spinal cord atrophy if the decreasing part of the cord is more one fourth than the normal on MRI.It will be good to take composite treatment.Conclusions\ The diagnosis of the traumatic spinal cord atrophy can be made by MRI.The managements of th lesion include the neurotrophic drugs,hyperbaric oxygen,massotherapy,acupuncture therapy,etc.,and to make operation in some patients. |
