Effect Analysis of Alveolar Lavage by Fiberoptic Bronchoscope in the Treatment of Severe Pneumonia in Children

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of alveolar lavage by fiberoptic bronchoscope in the treatment of children with severe pneumonia.Methods A total of 92 pediatric patients with severe pneumonia from January 1,2019 to December 31,2020 were selected for the treatment study.The patients were divided into two groups by odd-even method:routine treatment group(basic treatment)and study group(basic treatment+bronchoscopic alveolar lavage),46 cases in each group.The total effective rate,pulmonary function indexesforced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV₁),forced vital capacity(FVC)],arterial blood gas analysis indexesarterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO₂),blood oxygen saturation(SaO₂),arterial partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO₂)],serum inflammatory factors indexesC-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),white blood cell count(WBC)],complications incidence rate(severe cough,sinus tachycardia,sinus bradycardia).Results The total effective rate of study group(95.65%)was higher than that of conventional group(76.09%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of FEV₁ and FVC in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of PaO₂ and SaO₂ in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group,while the PaCO₂ level was lower than that in the conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of CRP,PCT and WBC in the study group were lower than those in the conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group(2.17%)was not significantly different from that in the conventional group(4.35%),the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The effective application of alveolar lavage by fiberoptic bronchoscope can improve the clinical efficacy and prognosis of pediatric patients with severe pneumonia on the premise of ensuring the safety of treatment.
