Clinical efficacy of simultaneous and sequential therapy in the treatment of lower extremity varicose vein with venous ulcer

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of simultaneous and sequential therapy in the treatment of lower extremity varicose vein complicated with venous ulcer.Method A total of 70 patients with lower extremity varicose vein complicated with ulcer who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University from July 2019 to April 2021 were selected,and the patients were divided into the observation group(n=35,treated with combined treatment at the same time)and the control group(n=35,treated with sequential treatment).The ulcer healing time,antibiotic use time,dressing change times,pain,and changes in inflammatory indicators were compared between the two groups.Result The ulcer healing time,antibiotic use time,and pain time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the number of dressing changes was less than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).One week after the operation,there were no significant differences in white blood cell count,lymphocyte percentage and interleukin-6 between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with varicose vein of the lower extremity combined with venous ulcer,varicose vein surgery can be used first,which can significantly shorten the treatment time,relieve their symptoms,and speed up the healing of ulcer.
