Effects of health education based on behavioral change theory and family cooperative management on compliance behavior and blood glucose fluctuation of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Objective To explore the effects of health education based on behavioral change theory and family cooperative management on compliance behavior and blood glucose fluctuation of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods A total of 90 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects, and the patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group by lottery, with45 cases in each group. The control group adopted routine nursing intervention, and the observation group applied health education based on behavioral change theory and family cooperative management on the basis of the control group. The compliance behavior, blood glucose level and fluctuation of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of self-monitoring, medication in compliance with medical advice, rational diet, emotional control and appropriate exercise in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After intervention, the levels of FBG, 2 h PBG, HbA1c, MAGE and MODD in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The health education based on behavioral change theory and family cooperative management applied in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus can help improve compliance behavior and blood glucose control effect, and reduce blood glucose fluctuation, which is worth promoting.
