Abstract: | Summary: A retrospective study was made of 110 patients treated for recurrent cervical cancer at National Women's Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand, between 1946 and 1970. The methods of re-treatment tended to be conservative and gave comparable results to those obtained from other centres where a more aggressive policy was followed. The patient who receives treatment for recurrent cancer of the cervix may have a small chance of cure, even if only palliation is intended, and has a definite advantage over the patient who receives no treatment. |
