Abstract: | BACKGROUND: Superior vena cava syndrome (SVCS) is an unusual condition resulting from upper body venous congestion. Little has been written about this condition and pregnancy. CASE: Despite concerns about cardiopulmonary decompensation from the hemodynamic changes of pregnancy, gestation proceeded uneventfully in a woman with SVCS. CONCLUSION: Pregnancy can be well tolerated in patients with SVCS. |
