Selective chromosomal damage caused by human cytomegalovirus |

| Abstract: | The effect of human cytomegalovirus (CMV) on human foetal cell chromosomes was investigated. Cultures of foetal skin fibroblasts were infected with human CMV (AD-169 strain) and their chromosomes analysed at intervals. The distribution of chromosomal abnormalities was independent of chromosome length. |
