Recent Advances about Liposomal Gene Delivery in Tumor Therapy

Gene delivery is a very challenging field in gene therapy,particularly when administered systematically,the physiological and biological barriers are the major hurdles that need to be considered.Liposomes have unique advantages as gene carriers used in cancer therapy,and have received enormous attention in these years.Many efforts about liposomes that are being made in order to further improve their target efficacy,reduce the side-effect through the study of new materials,methods and modifications,et al.Except of cationic liposomes,sterically stabilized liposomes,pH-sensitive liposomes,immunoliposomes and receptor mediated,liposomes,we have emphasized on the recent advances of novel cell-penetrating peptides modified liposomes in tumor therapy.
