S100A4表达与乳腺癌预后关系的研究

目的探讨S100A4蛋白在乳腺癌组织中的表达,并评估其在乳腺癌预后中的作用。方法采用免疫组化S-P法检测167例乳腺癌组织中S100A4蛋白的表达情况,并分析其与临床、病理特征的关系及其对预后的影响。结果乳腺癌组织中S100A4蛋白表达率为46.1%(77/167),其表达与淋巴结转移呈正相关(P<0.01),与肿瘤大小、ER、PR、病理类型等无明显相关性(P>0.05);S100A4表达组患者其总的5年生存率明显低于非表达组(43.4%vs.82.6%,P<0.01)。结论乳腺癌S100A4蛋白表达与肿瘤浸润和转移有一定关系,是判断乳腺癌侵袭、转移与预后的有用指标之一,表达者其预后较差。

The effects of the relation between expression of S100A4 and prognosis of breast cancer

Objective To investigate the expression of S100A4 protein in breast cancer, and to determined whether the expression can predict survival. Methods Expression of S100A4 protein in breast cancer was detected by immunohistochemisp try on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tumor section. The relationship between the expression of S100A4 protein and clinicopathological characteristics, and the prognosis of patients with breast cancer were also analyzed. Results S100A4 protein was observed in 77 of 167(46.1%) and positive correlation with lymph node metastasis (P<0. 01), but no relation can be established between expression of S100A4 protein and other clinicopathological parameters(P>0.05). Kaplan-Meier analyses revealed that patients with S100A4-positive tumors had a significantly worse 5-year survival rate than those with S100A4-negative tumors (43.4% vs.82.6%, P<0.01). Conclusions Expression of S100A4 protein was significantly associated with tumor progression in breast cancer , and it might be used as one of the valuable markers for poor prognosis in patients with breast cancer.
