| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the expressions of cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2) and matrix metalloproteinases-7(MMP-7) in cervix squamous cell carcinoma and cervix intraepithelial neoplasm(CIN) tissues.Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to determine the expressions of COX-2 and MMP-7 in 45 cases of cervix squamous cell carcinoma tissues,49 cases of CIN tissues and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues.Results The expressions of COX-2 and MMP-7 in cervix squamous cell carcinoma and CIN tissues were remarkably higher than those in normal cervix tissues,and those in cervix squamous cell carcinoma tissues were remarkably higher than those in CIN tissues(P<0.01).Conclusion The expressions of COX-2 and MMP-7 were higher in cervix squamous cell carcinoma and CIN tissues,they may play a role in the oncogenesis and progression of cervix squamous cell carcinoma. |
