Abstract: | Three patients presenting with tuberculous lymphadenitis during pregnancy are described. By suppressing cell-mediated immunity, pregnancy predisposes the mother to infections of the type in which cellular immunity is important in defence. In this setting, self-healed primary pulmonary or extra-pulmonary tuberculosis may reactivate. |
