Simultaneous recording of the transpulmonary pressure and electromyogram of the diaphragm

To record the hysteresis loop and electromyogram of the diaphragm simultaneously it is recommended that a standard probe of the sort used to record the intraesophageal pressure, on which silver electrodes are mounted, be used.
