How to act as a qualified head nurse in new time

Objective To provide nurses with humanistic management,in order to improve the qualify of nursing.Method As a head nurse,the following measures were carried out,such as practicing happy management integrated with strict management,creating happiness under the heavy stress,utilizing en- couragement system rationally,showing respect,understanding,concern and trust to nurses.Results This practice created relax and harmonious working environment tor nurses,which enhanced nurses' working and learning enthusiasm.As a result,patients' satisfaction increased from 90% in year 2003 to 96% in year 2006.Conclusion It is suggested that nursing managers should adapt themselves to the new situation,improve their own diathesis to devel- op and practice humanistic happy management.
