Abstract:Objective:To discuss and optimize the test method of volatile impurities in ethanol.Methods:The separation was performed in a Supelco OVI-G43 GC column(30 m×0.53 mm,3.0μm)under the programmed temperature procedure.The programmed procedure was as follow:initial column temperature at 40℃,increasing to 240℃at 10℃per min,and maintaining 240℃for 10 min.The injection temperature was 200℃,and the detection temperature was 280℃.Results:The average recoveries of methanol,acetaldehyde and acetal,and benzene were 91.2%,104.9%,96.0%with RSD as 2.3%,3.0%,6.3%,respectively.Conclusion:The established method has the good precision,repeatability and accuracy.It can meet the requirements of the volatile impurities in ethanol.
