Abstract:Three young patients with tuberculous pleural effusions are reported in whom peripheral x-ray opacities developed during treatment. Two patients also had radiographic evidence of mediastinal node enlargement. There was no factor common to the 3 cases to explain why the abnormalities developed, but it is suggested that enlargement of lymph nodes was the most likely cause of the radiographic lesions.
