Abstract:Objective: To observe the improving effect of Nao-Mai-Tong Freeze-dried Powder Injection (NFP) on the cerebral circulation in anesthetic cerebral isehemia dogs. Methods: The anesthetized dogs were randomly divided into five groups with 6 dogs in each group: ① control group, ② Nimodipine ( 0.2 mg/kg) group, ③the high dose NFP (4 mg/kg) group, ④the medium dose NFP (2 mg/kg) group and ⑤the low dose NFP( 1 mg/kg) group. The changes of cerebral blood flow(CBF), cerebral vascular resistance (CVR), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were determined before and 5, 10, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 min after administrated the test drugs by intravenous drip. Results: At 5 rain after giving the drug, CBF increased and CVR decreased in high dose NFP group, with obvious differences from those before giving the drug (P 〈0.05) and the maximum change values were at 30 min(P 〈0.01). In the medium dose NFP group, CVR decreased and CBF increased at 15 and 30 min after giving the drug with obvious differences from those before giving the drug ( P 〈 0. 05, P 〈 0. 01 ) but without obvious differences from those of control group. Morever, MAP and HR in three NFP groups had no significant change before and after giving the drug. Conclusion: NFP at a suitable dosage may improve the cerebral circulation.
