Comparison of Components in Water extract Solution of Cortex Phellodendri and Its Prepared Products

The components of water extract solutions of Cortex Phellodendri and its prepared products were compared. The results indicated that the contents of berberine and total alkaloids in the prepared Cortex Phellodendri with wine were the highest, and the total alkaloids in carbonated Cortex Phellodendri was almost next to none. But Cortex Phellodendri and its prepared products arranged in the order of content of water extract(from higher to lower), were salt Cortex Phellodendri, wine Cortex Phellodendri, crude Cortex Phellodendri and carbonated Cortex Phellodendri. It was suggested that there be a significant difference in internal quality among various specifications of prepared Cortex Phellodendri.
