| Abstract: | Objective: To investigate the current situation of nurses work environment. Methods: We used self-designed questionnaire and nurse work environment scale to investigate 858 nurses from 9 general hospitals in Changsha. Results: The average score of different subscales were ranked as following: doctor nurse collaboration (2.988), basic of high quality care (2.957), leadership and ability of nurse manager (2.915), involvement in hospital affaires (2.650), and sufficient manpower and resources (2.430). Conclusion: Shortage of manpower and resources remain the primary problem in nursing field. Lack of opportunity to participate in hospital affaires also needs more attention from hospital managers. |
