| Abstract: | Through comprehensive study of traditional Chinese medical literature of different era as well as through decades of clinical experience by the author, the etiology and pathogenesis of Flaccid Syndrome is closely related to the deficiency in the kidney essence and the deficiency of the spleen and stomach. Clinical treatment of Flaccid Syndrome should attach great importance to nourishing the kidney, reinforcing the spleen and stomach. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, the kidney corresponds to the water while the spleen and stomach matches the earth, so nourishing the water and reinforcing the earth should be regarded as the primary principle when treating Flaccid Syndrome. |
