Abstract: | Harmonic imaging improves endocardial border delineation during transesophageal echocardiography when compared with conventional imaging (26% improvement vs 2% worsening; p <0.001). This allows better assessment of left ventricular function during cardiac surgery, and suggests a role of harmonic imaging for transesophageal echocardiography. |
