| Abstract: | Model VAX11/750 computer connected with Model 75 image analysis system was used to carry out stereoquantitative analysis of parietal cells of patients with peptic ulcers, and the thickness of the gastric mucosa was measured with L M. The results showed that D, Sa, Vv, Vvt and Nv of Parietal cells were not significantly different between DU, GU and NS (P<0.2 ) ;but the gastric mucosa of patients with DU was markedly thicker than that of patients with GU or with NS (P<0.001 ). It is suggested that DU is probably caused by the hypersecretion of gastric acid, and GU by the deteriorated function of the gastric mucosal barrier. |
