| Abstract: | Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital lung malformation that occurs in either an intralobar or extralobar location and is generally asymptomatic. We report an unusual case of a child who presented with infarction of a previously asymptomatic extralobar pulmonary sequestration after blunt trauma, eventually requiring surgical excision. |
