| Abstract: | A total of 89 sample sera obtained from patients who suffered from chronic brucellosis were determined for the antibody types by means of ELISA and MRPAH. The results showed that IgG antibody titres were high in the patients at different stages of the chronic disease while both IgA and IgM antibody titres very low, but could persist in these cases for 5 years and over. However, the results obtained by MRPAH revealed that IgA antibody titres were elevated year by year with the course of the disease, and IgM lilres declined and that the ratio of the geomelric mean lilres of both IgA and IgM antibodies were elevaled year after year with the course of the disease, with the ralio < 1 in the patients who had suffered from thedisease for 2 years and the ratio > 1 in those for more than 2 years. |
