Abstract: | ABSTRACT. The effect of withdrawal of caffeine from the diet of a group of highly disturbed severely retarded adult patients was studied. Two weeks with drawal produced no improvement in sleep pattern or behaviour, but re-introduction of normal diet was accompanied by a highly significant increase ( P <0.001) in ward disturbance ratings. |
