| Abstract: | Objective To investigate the serum level of tissue polypeptide antigen in healthy adults in Northeast Sichuan area, and establish the reference range of tissue polypeptide antigen. Methods Chemiluminescence immunoassay was adopted to measure serum level of tissue polypeptide antigen in 211 healthy adults（132 males, 79 females）. Results Mean value （U/L） of serum tissue polypeptide antigen was significant higher in healthy males than that in healthy females （ 56.61 ±24.42 vs 46.83 ±19.93, P〈0.05 ） . The level of serum tissue polypeptide antigen kept no change with increase of age. There was no statistical difference between all age groups （P〉0.05）. Conclusion There is statistical difference in serum tissue polypeptide antigen between male and female. Therefore, it is necessary to establish different reference range. Meanwhile, the reference range in local area should be established because of different methods or area. |
