| Abstract: | Although the initial identification of a congenital skeletal malformation is usually made by a combination of clinical examination, conventional radiology and genetic tests, this review illustrates the additional value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis, determination of the extent of the disease, demonstration of associated abnormalities, therapy planning, disease monitoring and prognosis evaluation. |
