Abstract: | This report describes a relapse of Salmonella paratyphi B infection in a child with biliary atresia, following 2 weeks of treatment with ciprofloxacin. The recrudescence was complicated by the development of osteomyelitis and was treated with chloramphenicol, trimethoprim, ceftriaxone and ampicillin in succession. |
