老年患者慢性根尖周炎疗效观察

目的 研究老年患者慢性根尖周炎的疗效。方法 对98例患慢性根尖周炎的老年人在接受根管治疗或空管药物疗法2～10年后的116颗牙进行复查;以周期治疗的80例中青年人的100颗同类牙作对照复查。采用根尖周指数(periapi-cal index,PAI)评定X光片并结合临床检查,对其疗效进行评价。结果 两组总疗效差异无显著性(P>0.05),但治疗后5年以上的治愈率相比,老年组(62.7％)明显低于中青年组(76.4％)(P<0.05)。结论 老年组慢性根尖周炎的远期疗效较中青年组为差。

Observation of the Curative Effect on Chronic Apical Periodontitis in Elderly People

Objective To study of the curative effect of teeth with chronic apical periodontitis in elderly people. Methods 116 teeth from 98 elderly and 100 teeth from 80 young patients were reexamined,which had received root canal therapy 2 to 10 years ago. The curative effects were evaluated based on clinical examination and radiographic assessment using periapi-cal inedex (PAD. Result Statistically no significant difference for the overall healing rates between the two groups. But when the reexamination period was longer than 5 years,the healing rates in elderly people (62%) were significanty lower than those of the young people(86. 4%). Conclusion The long-term curative effects of teeth with chronic apical periodotitis in elderly in lower than that of the young people.
