Abstract: | Unprovoked and unexplained sudden loss of memory and inappropriate behaviour in a 5 year old child is described as fitting into the clinical picture of 'transient global amnesia'. The likely pathophysiology of this condition is discussed with some support for Fisher's suggestion of 'hippocampal-fornical' dysfunction. |
