Impact of glycemia control in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus on pregnancy outcome

Objective To explore the impact of glycemia control in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus on the complications of maternal,fetus,and pregnancy outcome.Methods 92 pregnant women of regular antenatal care with gestational diabetes mellitus were selected and divided into group A（satisfying in glycemia control） and group B（unsatisfying in glycemia control）.A control group of 95 cases were also set up.Complications of maternal,fetus and pregnancy outcomes were compared between the 2 groups.Results There were no significant differences between group A and the control group in pregnancy hypertension,polyhydramnios,fetal macrosomia and premature labor.In contrast,such disorders in group B were significantly higher than those in the control group（P0.05）.Conclusion Attention to glycemia screening,timely diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus and effective control of glycemia are the keys to reducing the complications of mothers and fetus.
