| Abstract: | Posthypoxic encephalopathy is characterized by inhibition of the succinate oxidase stage in cerebral energy production. When administered to rats exposed to hypoxia,Bergeniae crassifolia extract reduced mortality and restricted the inhibition of rapid metabolic cluster reactions.
