| Abstract: | Aim To explore the significance of measurement of changes of serum IGF-I,NPY and CGRP levels in neonates with Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy（HIE）.Methods Serum IGF-I,NPY and CGRP levels were determined with RIA in 38 neonates with HIE both during acute stage and convalescence as well as in 35 controls.Results During acute stage the serum IGF-I,CGRP levels in the patients were significantly lower than those in controls（P0.01）,but serum NPY levels were significantly higher than those in controls（P0.01）.After convalesecence stage serum IGF-I,NPY and CGRP levels were still significantly differet from those in controls（P0.05）.Conclusions Determination of serum IGF-I 、NPY and CGRP levels was helpful for the prediction of treatment efficacy in neonates with HIE. |
