| Abstract: | The effect of water on root system growth of medicinal plants and accumulation of effective ingredient in their roots were reviewed in this paper. The possibility of improving the yield and the quality of medicinal materials through regulating soil water was discussed. The theory basis has been provided for establishing SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for cultivation of medicinal plants and realizing the requirements of GAP : developing high quality, safe, stable and dependable Chinese crude drugs. |
