Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of their compliance to doctor's advice on the level of blood-glucose among the patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods Fifty-six patients with metabolic syndrome were divided into the therapy group and the control group at random, with 28 patients in each group. The health education was only given in the therapy group. After three months, the patients' compliance of doctor's advice was studied and the ecological parameters(fasting blood glucose,2 hours' postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglyceride,et al)were tested. Results The therapy group had a better compliance of doctor's advice than that of the control group, and the difference between the therapy and control group was significant statistically. Conclusions Health education can improve the compliance of doctor's advice in patients with metabolic syndrome.
Keywords:Heath education  Metabolic syndrome  Blood-glucose  Compliance of doctor's advice
