喉癌患者血清中表皮生长因子检测

目的：探讨表皮生长因子（ＥＧＦ）在喉癌患者血清中的表达及其临床意义。方法：用放射免疫方法对３８例喉癌患者手术前后的血清ＥＧＦ进行检测，２０例喉良性病变及３０例健康成人为对照，同时用ＡＰＡ免疫组化法检测ＥＧＦ在组织中的表达。结果：喉癌组血清中ＥＧＦ阳性率７３．７％，术前血清ＥＧＦ水平显著高于喉良性病变组及健康对照组（Ｐ〈０．０１）。术后血清ＥＧＦ下降至接近正常。其中２例术后复发伴远处转移者血清ＥＧＦ

Detection of serum epidermal growth factor in patients with laryngeal carcinoma

AIM: To evaluate the expression of serum epidermal growth factor (EGF) in patients with laryngeal carcinoma and its clinical significance. METHODS: A radioimmunoassay was used to examine banked samples of serumEGF in 38 patients with laryngeal carcinoma before and afterthe operation. Twenty patients with benign laryngeal diseases and 30 healthy people were taken as control. Expression of EGF in tissue of the 38 patients with laryngeal carclnoma was simultaneously investigated by immunohistochemical staining. RESULTS: The mean serum level forEGF in patients with laryngeal carcinoma was significantlyhigher compared with that in the control groups (P<0. of ).The serum EGF positive rate was 73. 7% in patients with laryngeal carcinoma. Serum level of EGF in patients with Iaryngeal carcinoma was significantly declined postoperativelyand close to the normal level. Of the 38 cases, the serumEGF level elevated again in two patients with recurrence andmetastasis six months after the operation. The high serumEGF was associated with the pathologic stage and lymphaticmetastasis. There were no significant correlations with age,tumor sites and clinical classification. The positive EGF ratedetected by immunological method was 63. 2% and be correlated with pathologic stage. CONCLUSION: These resultssuggest that serum EGF can be used as a biological markerfor the diagnosis and prognosis postoperative in laryngeal carcInoma.
