优秀病区护士长应具备的领导才能

目的：通过临床护士分享亲身经历过的难忘病区护士长成功事件，归纳分析优秀病区护士长作为领导者应该具备的才能。方法：运用半结构访谈指引分别与广州两家“三甲”医院的两组临床护士进行约1小时的焦点小组访谈。访谈内容转录成文字后对书面资料反复阅读，进行资料编码，甄别各类资料之间的相互关系，然后归类到范畴，最后提炼出主题。结果：受访护士眼中的优秀病区护士长应具备爱护下属、公平对待、技术较强、包容接纳及沟通能力。结论：临床护士的主要着眼点是他们自己，认为最重要的是护士长对他们提供的实际关怀和帮助。病区护士长除了要在实务上进行分担和指导，还要懂得与下属的相处之道，并且还能站出来帮助下属争取权益。

Leadership competencies of ward head nurses

Objective：To analyze personal experiences that were shared by clinical nurses, so as to identify leadership competencies of ward head nurses. Methods：Two focus groups interviews with nurses from two teaching hospitals in Guangzhou were conducted. The interviews were transcribed and coded and categorized before themes were identiifed using the content analysis approach. Results：From the points of view of clinical nurses, competent ward head nurses would need to be caring their subordinates, fair, professionally competent, receptive, and able to communicate. Conclusion：Clinical nurses viewed from meeting their own needs, they believed the most important leadership competencies were being able to help and care for them. Ward head nurses should not only actually help and coach, but also know how to relate to their subordinates, in addition to speaking up for them.
