江苏省徐州地区4300人贫血原因的调查分析

对徐州地区4300人进行了贫血调查,贫血的总患病率14.93％,其中轻度贫血占86.76％。缺铁性贫血最常见,占本组贫血的55.30％;叶酸或维生素B_(12)缺乏所致的贫血占11.84％;铁、叶酸和维生素B_(12)缺乏所致的贫血占2.80％,其它原因的贫血占30.06％。对造成贫血的原因进行了分析。

A SURVEY OF THE INCIDENCE AND ETIOLOGY OF ANEMIA IN 4300 RESIDENTS IN XUZHOU DISTRICT

Four thpusad and three hundred residents in Xuzhou District, including pregnant women, workers, farmers, cadres and rural adolescent students, totally 1932 males and 2368 females, aged 12-81, were screened for anemia. The incidence was 14.93% (642 out of 4300), in which the majority (86.76%) were of mild degree. The most common cause of anemia in this series was iron deficiency (355 in 642, 55.30%). The other causes were : folic acid and/or vitamin B12 deficiency (11.84%); combined deficiency in iron and folic acid and B12 (2.80%); and secondary anemias owing to hepatic and nephritic diseases, malaria, cancer and others (30.06%). Investigation into the deficiency factors disclosed that lack of iron or folic acid and B12 was mainly of nutirional origin, i. e insufficient intake of vegetableS and meat and inadequate cooking habits. Chronic blood losses, especially menorrhes in females and ancylostomiasis, were important in causing iron deficiency. Eycess-ve cooking related to folicacid deficiency and certain drugs could have disturbed the metabolism of folic acid. Low level of folic acid was often found in the pregnant group; its mechanism is discussed.
