Study on the Mechanism of Acupuncture in Reducing Weight by Regulating Adipocyte Homeostasis

This paper expounds the internal relationship between adipocyte homeostasis imbalance and diet-induced obesity(DIO), and discusses the cellular and molecular biological mechanism of acupuncture therapy on DIO. By searching the relevant literature of basic studies such as clinical observation and animal experiments of acupuncture therapy on DIO, we found that the dynamic imbalance of adipocyte number, morphology and adipocytokine secretion was closely related to DIO. The regulation of acupuncture can reverse the above process.Therefore, it is necessary to explore the mechanism of acupuncture to maintain the homeostasis of adipocytes by regulating the differentiation, apoptosis, morphology, volume and secretion of adipocytes, so as to provide a new way of thinking for the future research on the mechanism of acupuncture treatment of obesity.
