Effect of Budesonide Atomization Inhalation in the Treatment of Moderate and Severe Bronchiolitis in Children

Objective To investigate the effect of budesonide atomization inhalation in treatment of children with moderate to severe bronchiolitis. Methods A total of 47 children with moderate to severe bronchiolitis treated in Dalian Women and Children Medical Center(Group) from June 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research objects, and were randomly divided into the control group and the budesonide group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the budesonide group was given budesonide atomization inhalation on the basis of routine treatment. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks. The hospitalization time, disappearance time of clinical symptoms, secondary clinical outcomes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The hospitalization time and disappearance time of clinical symptoms in budesonide group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the secondary clinical outcomes between the two groups(P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P > 0.05). Conclusion For children with moderate to severe bronchiolitis, budesonide atomization inhalation on the basis of routine treatment can further improve the clinical symptoms of children, and will not increase the occurrence of adverse reactions, which is worthy of promotion.
