Health literacy and health education of college students

China is vigorously implementing the Strategy of Healthy China nowadays. The improvement of national health literacy is of great significance to the realization of the great rejuvenation of China. In the communique of the fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, health education has been raised to the strategic position of the country, and the importance of the health education to the development of the country should be fully recognized. Especially for students of universities and colleges, the status of health literacy is not optimistic. Good health literacy is not only conducive to college and university students to solve practical problems, but also conducive to relief the burden of social chronic diseases in the future and cope with the challenges of various health problems. Health education is the most convenient, economical and effective health strategy to prevent diseases and improve health literacy. Cultivating college and university students' health literacy and responsibility and promoting their physical and mental health is an important part of the strategy of healthy China. The purpose of the paper is to analyze and discuss the current situation and existing problems of health education in colleges and universities, put forward coping strategies, promote the development of health education in colleges and universities, improve the current situation of health education for students, and promote the improvement of the level of health literacy, and commit to making it a pioneer and guide of healthy lifestyle for people, and a practitioner of healthy China strategy.
