Abstract: | Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is a group of rare genetic disorders which are of dental interest because of their specific oral manifestations and management difficulties. Two cases of recessive EB which may be classified clinically as the atrophicans-gravis Herlitz type are described. Dental therapy consisted of extractions and stainless steel crown restorations, with inhalation general anesthesia. The need for and advantages of early preventive and restorative dental care are illustrated by the cases presented. |
