Abstract: | Ocular dominance was measured in 561 mother-father-first-born offspring triads. Some evidence was found for an effect of parental mating pattern on offspring eye dominance. Effects were strongest when a regression analysis, against the number of left-eyed parents, was conducted. Previous data also show stronger familial effects when reanalyzed using this method.Dr. Brackenridge died while this paper was in review. Dr. Stanley Coren took responsibility for its revision and the editors are very grateful to him. |
