激光治疗脑肿瘤

本文通过60例激光治疗脑肿瘤的总结,对治疗中激光器的选择、术中应用、最佳治疗剂量及治疗过程中应注意事项等都做了较详细的叙述,同时对于不同部位、大小、性质之脑肿瘤激光治疗方式也作了阐述。激光治疗脑肿瘤有操作方便、止血好、不感染、防止术中癌细胞扩散和扩大手术适应证等优点。

Laser Therapy and Photodynamic Therapy of Brain Tumors

60 cases with brain tumors were treated with laser therapy. Experience has been accu-mulated on clinical application of lasers, especially, the selection of laser type, intra-operation use and effective dosage of laser irradiation and major problems to which atten-tion shoud be paid during operation. Apropriate therapeutic ways should be taken accord-ing to the location, size and clinico-pathological features of the tumors. Among the 60cases, 30 patients were treated in combination with photodynamic therapy. In which the 18-month survival rate was 36.6%, while in the non-PDT treated group only one patientsurvived 14 months. We would conclude that application of lasers and combination withphotodynamic therapy in treatment of brain tumors has indeed many advantages: simpleoperation, good hemostatic effect, infection free, no spread of tumor cells, increase inoperation indications, and the most important, prolongation of survival and improvementof life quality of the patients.
