| Abstract: | This paper describes the surveillance phase of the Chagas Disease Control Program in Minas Gerais State. Surveillance was conducted by the County Health Services with community participation in the planning, decision-making, and maintenance processes and is intended to be sustainable in the context of Brazil's Unified National Health System (SUS). |
