Abstract:Objective To investigate the practical effect of tidal breathing pulmonary function in infants with adenovirus pneumonia.Methods There were 50 infants with adenovirus pneumonia selected as the observation group,and another healthy subjects as the control group.All subjects underwent tidal breathing and lung function tests.The pulmonary function indicators[respiratory frequency(RR),tidal volume(VT),inspiratory time(Ti),peak tidal expiratory flow(PTEF),time to tidal peak expiratory flow/expiratory time(TPTEF/Te),expiratory volume at tidal peak expiratory flow/expiratory time(VPTEF/Ve)and tidal peak expiratory flow/expiratory time/expiratory time(PTEF/Ve)]of the two groups were compared.Results The RR(34.16±7.14)times/min,PTEF(136.48±18.01)ml/s and PTEF/Ve(1.58±0.29)%of the observation group were higher than(22.64±5.01)times/min,(123.54±10.64)ml/s and(1.31±0.35)%of the control group,Ti(0.78±0.12)s was shorter than(0.84±0.13)s of the control group,and VT(6.78±0.54)ml/kg,TPTEF/Te(38.97±6.98)%and VPTEF/Ve(40.13±9.13)%were lower than(8.46±0.85)ml/kg,(45.16±8.46)%and(46.58±7.15)%of the control group.All the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the acute stage,infant adenovirus pneumonia shows increased small airway resistance,decreased tidal volume,and mixed ventilation dysfunction.Pulmonary function test is an ideal method to monitor the condition of infant adenovirus pneumonia.
