Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical significance of detection of LTA4H rs7971150 gene polymorphism in peripheral blood of elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and its relationship with smoking.Methods From September 2017 to January 2020,150 patients with acute exacerbation of COPD who were hospitalized in the Department of Respiratory Disease of Yangsi Hospital and Department of Respiratory Disease of Pu'nan Hospital of Pudong New District were selected as the observation group,and 150 patients with acute exacerbation of bronchiectasis and community-acquired pneumonia were selected as the control group.The patients of both groups were further divided into two subgroups,respectively:non-smoking group and smoking group according to whether they smoked or not.imLDR multi-ligase SNP typing technology was used to detect LTA4H rs7971150 gene polymorphisms in peripheral blood of patients,and the arterial blood gases indexes(pH,arterial oxygen partial pressure,arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure),lung function indexes(FEV,.FEV%),6 minutes walking distance(6MWD)were compared between the two groups.Results The difference in frequency distribution of rs7971150 locus between the two groups was statistically significant P<0.05).Compared with AA genotype,GG genotype significantly increased the risk of COPD(P<0.05).In the smoking and non smoking subgroups,there were statistically significant differences in the genotype frequency of rs7971150 between the observation group and the control group(P<0.05).In the smoking subgroup,GA and GG genotypes significantly increased the risk of COPD compared with AA genotypes(P<0.05).In the observation group,there were no significant differences in pH,PaO2and PaCO2between nonsmoking subgroup and smoking subgroup(allP>0.05),while there were significant differences in FEV1,FEV1%and 6MWD between non-smoking subgroups and smoking subgroup(all P<0.05).There were no significant differences in pH and PaO2between the control group and the observation group(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in PaCO2,FEV1,FEV1%and 6MWD between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion It is suggested that GA and GG genotype significantly increased the risk of COPD.Compared with non-smoking COPD patients,smoking COPD patients have obvious GA and GG mutation genotypes,as well as poor lung function and shorter 6 MWD.
