Combined use of three methods for detection of cervical diseases at early stage

Objective： To evaluate the predictive value of liquid-based cervical cytology（TCT）,high-risk human papilloma virus（HR-HPV） detection and vaginal microscopically cervical pathological examination in diagnosis of cervical lesions.Methods： A total of 320 patients that showed abnormal TCT results underwent HR– HPV detection,vaginal endoscopy examination and pathological examinataion.Results：（1） Histological examination showed significant higher positive rate of the cervical diseases than TCT（P〈0.01）.（2）Vaginal microscopically cervical pathological examination can reveal more HR-HPV.（3） With increase of cervical cytology levels,the rate of HPV infection and CIN incidence increased;HPV infection revealed by cervix pathology examination also increased.The positive rate of joint TCT,HR-HPV testing and vaginal microscopically cervical pathological examination can be as high as 100%.Conclusions： Combined use of TCT,HR-HPV testing and vaginal microscopically cervical pathology examination is an important auxiliary method for detection of cervical diseases at early stage since it can raise the diagnostic accuracy.
