Abstract:A chromosomal study of short-term cultured tumor cells from a benign uterine leiomyoma showed a clonal insertion, dir ins(14;6)(q23;p23p25) as a unique change. This finding supports the hypothesis of a specific association of the breakpoint 14q23 with uterine leiomyoma.
